"Spaceship Zero" is an RPG based on the fictional pulp sci-fi setting of the same name. The setting has allusions to "Call of Cthulhu," and the game mechanics are fairly similar. Players are encouraged to play out scenes in character as if it were a radio drama.
The conceit is that the players inadvertently destroyed the known universe in a space travel experiment, survived the ensuing Big Bang 2, and put themselves in stasis, to awaken in what they calculate will be the same time and place in this Universe 2 that they left Universe 1. Hilarity, of course, ensues.
In the original radio drama upon which the game is based, the cast destroys the universe each episode to escape disaster, hoping that the next one will work out better.
The game is published by Green Ronin Publishing, and was written by Toren Atkinson, also of the band "The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets."
