To play JADECLAW, you will also need pencil and paper, and polyhedral dice (four-sided, six-sided, eight-sided, ten-sided and twelve-sided).
Compatible with Ironclaw, and similar in mechanics to Albedo or Usagi Yojimbo, this game instead focuses on Zonggou, a China-like setting. Players will get better at things by accruing more dice for the task, not a numerical bonus. All the dice for the test (like casting a spell, or bribing a guard) are rolled, and only the highest result is kept. The more dice you roll, the more likely you are to get a high result.
