Divine Right is a turn-based d6 fantasy war board game developed by TSR. Originally released in 1979, it had a second edition in 1980, rereleased in 2002 for a limited 25th anniversary run. The very large board is a full-color overview map of Minaria with hexagonal spaces for the various tokens used to represent armies. The goal is to wipe out your opponents, or score the most points in 20 turns.
Basic play is similar in play to the classic RISK, except armies must travel between towns and countries, with the added elements of diplomacy with neutral monarchs, mutiny and siege. Intermediate play introduces weather and plague, and Advanced play involves magic, items and terrain randomly changing between passable fields to tall mountains, or perhaps mountains to quicksand.
Official rules updates continue to be issued by Glenn Ratham.
