A subgenre of science fiction, popular in the 1980s and early 1990s. Mostly set on or near Earth, cyberpunk is characterised by advanced information technology and cybernetics coupled with a degree of breakdown or a radical change in the social order.

Cyberpunk is an original SF RPG based on the cyberpunk genre of science fiction. Wikipedia has a larger article on it.
