City of Heroes

MMORPG from Cryptic, published by NCSoft. The theme is your own unique superheroes working to reclaim a city devastated by an alien invasion. The combat is fairly nicely detailed and the powersets allow for a fairly customizeable balance within your archetype, which is somewhat akin to class in a fantasy RPG.

The real claims to fame for City of Heroes (and its dark twin, City of Villains) are their character generator which allows an astonishing and ever-growing array of awesome costume choices and the travel powers which allow heroes to jump, fly and teleport around various urban and alien environments, rather than the plodding run employed by most Massive genre games.
