Hobart Games Society

The Hobart Games Society, affectionately known as HoGS, is a relatively informal collective of people passionate to one degree or another about games.

We mostly play social board and card games the likes of which you'll see described in abundance on boardgamegeek.com. Many of these are known in the English speaking world as German games, Euro games or designer games. They are generally elegantly designed and eminently playable by people of all ages in a way that anyone who thinks primarily of Monopoly, Risk, or Trivial Pursuit has probably never experienced!

We're based in Hobart, Tasmania and we run a games night at least twice a month with other supporting events now and again. Our Events Calendar lists upcoming events, and you can also join us on Facebook.
