Orphaned Gamers LFGEdit
This gaming group seeks players
Stop me if you've heard this: "Just moved to the area and I am looking for a gaming group. Anyone nearby?" Of course this applies to myself and I think we've all been there. Well I enjoy gaming, it's damn fun. Haven't done it in awhile and that needs to change. If you're reading this, you're most likely in the same boat as this straggling nerd, and I suggest we do something about this. At the most, we'll get a group together; at the least, we'll commiserate about some good-old, long-gone gaming stories.
Mainly I am looking for a group, but if there isn't one out there, I say we get one together. We can always figure out the where and when later, but for now, we need to figure out the who.
So the who about me is: I like story-driven games, as well as hack and slash. Though I am not too much of a fan of free formy systems.
I love playing to move story and develop my character and my group's characters.
I like to fill the spot that's needed in a group. That's right, I'll be the cleric, or the face, or the hacker, or the thief who thieves.
Favorite genre: Steam punk (Any, but a leaning towards Victorian era)
Game I like and can play: Burning Wheel, Shadowrun, Mechanical Dream, Savage Worlds, Deadlands, Cthulhu, In nomine, Dungeons & Dragons, Call of Cthulhu, Shadowrun, All Flesh Must Be Eaten, Children of the sun. And some other that have faded in my memory.
Am I open to playing new games? Yes.
Would I GM? Yes.
Will I be the only and permanent GM? No.
Do I have a place where people can play? Yes.
What days are best for me? Weekends are best, though I can free up some time. It just needs to be consistent.
If you're interested, you can always fill in these questions and help get some wheels moving. I think that if we can get enough people in here, we should be able to find something that works for everyone.
