LFG

I've managed to assemble two groups for gaming since I moved back to the area. I ended up dropping out of both, and here's why. I'd like to have gaming sessions that are also a social event, where the players bring their significant others and children. We have a pot-luck meal (or whatever) together, then the non-players hang out and socialize, put on a DVD or whatever, while the rest of us game. Afterwards maybe we have dinner, see a movie, or what-not.

By doing that, we make a circle of friends with similar interests, we have the potential for involving significant others and children in our hobby, and nobody is left home while we enjoy our hobby. I've done it before, and I can't justify the time away from my family without involving them too.

Would you be interested in something like that?

I would be interested in playing Runequest 2nd ed Prax or Nihon, old Stormbringer/Hawkmoon/Corum, Rogue Trader/Dark Heresy, WFRP 1st/2nd, Cthulhu, Tekumel, Traveller, Middle Earth, Fading Suns 2nd ed, or even Classic D&D ports (Wilderlands, Mystara, Midkemia, Blackmoor, Lankhmar, Oriental Adventures, Spelljammer, Dragonlance or Thieves World) to BRP Classic Fantasy. Also old-school 1st ed AD&D.
