I removed the "Log In/Join" tab in favor of a login form in the upper-right of the page. This is a lot more common, so this should remove the confusion a lot of users had at the sneaky form that slid open. It was especially confusing when you try to do something that requires login, the page would tell you to "log in above" but it was really easy to glance over the narrow little form.
When you log in, you'll see a that the tab with your handle on it has also been moved up next to the logo. A lot of people were missing the links for Gamers and Discussions because they were invisible unless you thought to click on your handle (and why would you?).
So this is a little more attractive (well, to me, which ain't worth much) and much less confusing. I had to touch a bit of tricky login code and tested it every way I could think of, but please please please let me know if anything odd happens when you're logging in or joining.
