Would it be possible to create an option where folks can search for other gamers without referencing tags?
Right now, finding other gamers that share tags is great if you're looking for people to play a specific game. What if I'm willing to try something new, though?
Would it be hard to implement?
Currently, there is the ability to get a list of all the people near you. This may be what you are looking for.
While logged in, click on the tab with your name, and click on the "Gamers" part. You can also post discussions to just those people near you by clicking on the Nearby: Discussions link.
I think that's what you are looking for.

Actually, clicking on 'Gamers' under your name tab only gives you the gamers closest to you that you share a tag with. I would like to do that search without the tag-matching.
That's how I understand the way it works, anyway.
