Folks may have noticed the site dropped offline for 15-20m a minute ago. I was doing some performance updates* to the web server settings for and had a pretty impressive string of typos that made Apache pretty unhappy about the idea of serving web pages.
* Turning off ETags, turning on far-future Expires headers for css/js, turning gzip on for css/js/images. Had this for a while and it apparently quietly stopped working during the last site move.
