1) How about a preview button so I can view my posts before I commit them? It would be nice to see any mistakes I made before everyone else does.

2) How about the ability to edit my own posts?

I would second the ability to modify your posts. John

Perhaps the Admin/site owner might consider looking at one of the phbb board setups? Most people are amiliar with those.

3) Modifying the of the page. For example, this page can be "Suggestions for Improving the Forum - Forum - Nearby Gamers"</p>

I'm not going to add preview, because I'd rather just add an 'edit' button. That's on the list for this week.

Page titles were an oversight, thanks for pointing them out. You'll see them now.

Oh, and as for phpBB and such: I realize I'm really reinventing a wheel by writing my own forums code, but I'm able to get them much better-integrated with the site than an outside solution. It drives me up the wall when I click for a site's forums and it doesn't fit the site's design -- or worse, when I have to maintain two logins. Writing forums has allowed me to closely integrate tagging and mapping, which is really cool.

OK, but don't expect me to get it right the first time. Or the second. Or the twenty-third :-)

I'm OK with that, disk is cheap.

Looking for RPG group nearby.

I am really impressed with the project and wonder if it would be able to have sub forums, devoted to the more major game systems, regions and adding a full page map.

Thanks for all the work you have put in so far.

Don't laugh, but I think you should create a simple logo or banner in order to: 1.Add visual interest. and 2.Improve the branding of the site to help us grow faster.

Also, the white pages are starting to hurt my already-damaged eyes. Any chance of getting a light grey background, or even a dark grey background with white text?

My goal was to get all of the shallow aesthetic changes out there before pushing deep changes to the code.

There's a redesign underway that will include a logo, though I'm afraid the graphic designer is flaking out on me. I'm chasing him down.

The background where the pages are now isn't white, it's actually a pale purple. If it appears white, your monitor's brightness and contrast are probably up way too high.

It appears white on my monitor because it is a LCD display attached to my laptop. When choosing colours remember that pale colours often appear as white on LCDs. The contrast between then and white is much less than a CRT.

Nod, I have two LCD's next to each other on this machine. One of which has constant colour issues. The closest I can get to the purple on this screen (w/o destroying my ability to see other colours) is a pale blue :)

Ooooh, bright new colours. I like.

I'm even able to modify my posts. Very good.
